These are the general categories of CONSULTING services offered:
ASSESSMENT:
Comprehensive and integrated review of existing conditions (program, operation, finances, facilities, staffing). Compares findings to norms, trends and the perceived potential of the organization. Establishes a realistic basis for further planning. Can be brief or extensive, formal or informal.
VISIONING / LONG RANGE PLAN:
Facilitated process to review and/or identify a mission, vision, purpose and long range goals appropriate to the organizational needs and opportunities. Provides the basis for more focused strategic planning.
FEASIBILITY STUDY:
Structured objective (usually quantifiable) study of "whether" an idea will work - e.g., introducing a new program or service; operating year round; adding an adult conference/retreat facility. NOTE: The consultants do not provide feasibility studies related to fund raising goals.
STRATEGIC PLAN:
Strategic actions developed with decision-makers to identify concrete steps that will accomplish a vision and goals within a stated time period.
BUSINESS PLAN DEVELOPMENT:
Operating model to be followed to achieve projected growth, financial goals, establish viability. The consultants are specifically experienced in developing start-up plans for new camps/centers.
MARKET RESEARCH / PLAN:
Formal (written survey, web survey or telephone survey) and informal (focus groups or facilitated dialogue) data gathering to provide a basis for the development of program, management or site plans. May result in a strategic Marketing Plan for the site or programs to increase usage and participation.
TRAINING:
A variety of models for group or individual instruction - Executive Coaching, Board Development, Staff Development, Hospitality Training, Foundations for Fund Raising.
These are the general categories of SITE DEVELOPMENT services offered:
ASSESSMENT:
An analysis of the property and facilities to determine the potential to accommodate identified program needs, serve new functions, be expanded or retrofitted for future uses.
LAND USE PLANNING:
Matching the functional requirements of the site to land areas based on natural characteristics and/or the relationship of spaces to each other.
CONCEPTUAL MASTER PLANNING:
A comprehensive planning process that integrates the program and operational goals with the land and facility possibilities. The conceptual Master Plan identifies all of the facilities needed to meet the program goals, locates them on the property, identifies amenities and circulation, and suggests a preliminary opinion of probable cost. (A completed Master Plan includes the two processes identified above.)
At the conceptual level, the master plan is based on available public data, observation and the planners' professional judgment. It does not include comprehensive code review, environmental impact studies, engineering studies related to infrastructure to determine the feasibility of specific recommendations.
Schematic Design:
A conceptual plan of a specific facility identifying the realistic spaces to be contained in the building, the general style of construction and costs. A Schematic Design leads to a visualization of the structure and a more accurate opinion of probable cost.
Additonal or Alternative Services:
Master Plan Updates, Base Mapping, Trail Mapping, Power Point presentations can be combined with the above processes or undertaken independently.
